This book, as the title suggests, features Norwegian and Denmark Architects and their works that demonstrate their approach towards designing with nature. Through our conversations with the local architects and writers in this issue, they bring forth a spectrum of sustainability concerns in the region that paints a contrasting picture as compared to the rest of the world. With Norway and Denmark in the forefront facing the forces of nature such as the receding glacier caused by global warming, it encourages them to build architecture that respects and is sensitive to what is around them. And, despite this harshness of nature, their people continue to pride themselves upon their community spirit, creating cities that are inclusive and livable and architecture that is responsive.
